ZATOICHI: The Blind Swordsman

Below is a sketch study of Zatoichi: The blind swordsman. One of my all-time favorite Japanese series.  If you haven't already seen it, you should check it out!

I used some black acrylic paint and a flat shader brush. For highlights I used a designers gouache  (bleed-proof white).  The original image is on a 9 x 12 acrylic paper.
